The Fluke Networks MS2100IE MicroScanner™2 Industrial Ethernet Cable Verifier for testing and troubleshooting operational networks. It includes a multi-connector adapter and patch cables for testing RJ45, M12X, M12D, and M8D terminated cables in seconds and displays results graphically so the user can see opens, shorts, and crossed wires. The MS2-100-IE provides a graphical wire map, pair lengths, distance to fault, detection of 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet speeds, and PoE detection. It also reports which end of the cable has a problem and reports the distance to an open connection within the cable. Cable failures result in costly production downtime so it is important to quickly identify where the cable is broken so it can be replaced or repaired.
