The HP 8011A-001 is a 20 Mhz pulse source that can be externally and manually triggered. The Agilent / HP 8012B 50 MHz Pulse Source is a versatile and reliable low-cost pulse generators. Option 001 provides a Burst Control. This is essentially a counter which is loaded with numbers from the from panel thumbwheel switches. When a burst is started, pulses from the rate generator decrement the counter until it is empoty. This condition (all zeroes) is deetected and generates a BURST COMPLETE signal which disables the rate generator.
